Watershed Development: IWMP
(INTEGRATED WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME)
Watershed programmes under “Common guidelines” is also taken up in two
mega watersheds in an area of 7000 ha. covering 9 villages. This is A.P.
Government funded programme under “Integrated Watershed Development Programme” (IWMP).
The Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) are prepared through “Participatory Net
Planning” and the data will be utilized to treat the watersheds on participatory
approach for a period of 7 years from 2010-11.
Two more IWMP watersheds have been allocated to AF during 2010-11 for
implementation. They are Muttala Watershed in Atmakur Mandal and Bandameedapalli
watershed in Rapthadu Mandal. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs are in preparation)
